New Legs – Chair Yoga Kroc 1-25-18

After subbing for George, I went next door where my Gentle Chair Yoga students were waiting expectantly for me in their chairs. Here’s a link to many of the poses we practiced in class.

I was gifted a beautiful pair of yoga socks by one of my newest students, which I see as a good sign and will use in good health.

Kathy was excited that her copper vessel was arriving today. Amazon left it on the porch so she hurried home to thwart the “porch bandits“.

I demonstrated “Legs up the Wall” and asked if anyone practices. A student spoke up and says she puts her legs up the wall by her bed. Sits down in the bed by the wall. Lays down while turning. She loves it so much she said, “After you come out of it, you feel like you got new legs!” I said, “Who wants new legs?” everyone said “Yes!” So the homework is “Legs up the Wall” a.k.a. Viparita Karani.

After class I went to Gaffney’s Fabrics to buy some upholstery fabric for some zafu meditation pillows I am sewing. I ran into a student I was just talking to about the healing power of art and expression. She’s making a quilt out of the jeans of her deceased fiancee. She picked a beautiful flannel.

NAMASTE
